senator john kerry to replace clinton as secretary of state in an overwhelming vote of 94 to 3. clinton was having an interactive online interview. as she heads out the door, she is leading -- leaving a legacy the most traveled secretary of state in history. more 950,000 miles, visited 112 countries and held 1700 meetings with world leaders. next up for the president today. he is talking immigration reform at 3:55 and 4:15. yesterday, obama unveiled his new immigration proposal for the country and urged congress to act quickly on immigration reforming the nation's laws. the president said his biggest failure in his first term was not accomplishing comprehensive immigration reform. this will term, he wants to see a quick path to citizenship for many of the country's 11 million illegal immigrants. lawmakers will have the senate's plan to consider which a bi-partisan group released on monday. in many aspects, they were similar. the senate's would call for tougher border control before granting citizenship to immigrants already in the country. more bill press i

missed in the 2008 debate, which i moderated between president obama and john mccain, these are two very different people and personalities and when obama would speak, john mccain would furiously taking notes. he is always over caffeinated anyway. i love the guy and i like him, but he would take all of these notes and when you look over at obama, when mccain was speaking, obama never took a note. he tried to maintain absolute, direct eye contact, with john mccain almost as if, you will not rattle my chain. and he just keep looking at him and the only time -- during the debate, i still, do not know why he did this, he picked up his pen and he would draw a straight line across the notebook. if this was some sort of as an exercise or maybe he was putting 400 pounds of weight on this or whenever he was doing -- he always did that and i've never had the opportunity to ask why he did that. during the primary debates with romney, and i talk to him about this, he always wrote something down at the top of this note but and i asked him, what do you write down there? he said, i write down, dad, and

of this is the president just nominated john brener top counterterrorism adviser to be head of the cia and brennan in a lot of ways has been the guy on drones. he is at the center of the drone policy so on the one hand you are getting a lot of pushback from the left from people opposed to drone use about his nomination. on the other hand, the reporting is from "the washington post" and other places that he actually has been a huge voice of restraint and a voice advocating for moving that program from the cia to the military according to a recent post article. they said that brennan is leading efforts to curtail the cia's primary responsibility for targeting killings over opposition of the agency arguing to focus on intelligence agencies and leave lethal action to the more traditional home in the military where the law requires greater transparency. so, if john brennan is confirmed, it is interesting to see if there's a move to greater transparency and to moving the program from the cia to the military. >> absolutely, yeah. all right. >>> shifting gears a bit here up next the
